Making Progress
Finally, some political progress in Iraq.It's a little crass, but hey, it's The Onion. It's important to remember everytime McCain or some C-list wingnut touts all the "success" of the surge in Iraq that though violence has abated to 2005 levels (which is still more than one dead American soldier a day, and countless Iraqi civilians), the Iraqi state is no closer to being a viable functioning Democracy than a year ago when Bush announced the surge.
If you're a College Republican chickenhawk who thinks that this war is an epic clash of civilizations worth trillions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of lives, I'd like to remind you that it's easy to sign up.
